A very affectionate and human-friendly female American Staffordshire Terrier. Sage loves all people, including children. She is not dog-friendly and can not go to a home with other dogs. Sage is 6 years old, 50 pounds, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and she is stroller-trained.  Currently, Sage is boarding with our Broward County Vet and can have meet-and-greets on their property. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSage came to WAGS after finding herself with a euthanasia date after having a serious altercation with another dog. Sage was approved for a program typically not approvable for dogs that display dislike for other dogs; likewise, during outings on this particular program, shelter dogs should not be taken around other dogs as a precaution. Unfortunately, her outings participant ignored these guidelines, and Sage was placed in a very unsafe position, resulting in an altercation with the participant's personal dog and causing Sage to receive a mandatory county-wide muzzle order and the permanent designation of \"aggressive dog\".\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter spending time with Sage, we find her to be extraordinarily loyal to her human handlers, following their commands, and displaying a strong ability to stay and remain focused on the human she is with.
